Everything in the Universe is vibrational in nature, including you. In other words, the essence of what you are is pure energy, oscillating at a certain vibrational frequency.
Perhaps you’ve never thought about your vibrational frequency before, but it will soon become your number one priority once you understand how it governs your life. Since you magnetize all situations, opportunities, and relationships into your experience via the Law of Attraction, your vibrational frequency determines the quality of these experiences.
The Law of Attraction is a Universal law which states that “like attracts like”. A high oscillating vibrational frequency attracts more high frequency or what you might perceive as “positive” situations into your life, while a low oscillating vibrational frequency attracts more “negative” situations. You create your own reality not with your thoughts per se, but with your vibration, which is dictated by your thoughts. Because you are responsible for your thoughts, you are also responsible for your experiences, even the ones that appear to be coincidental or accidental in nature.
Determining Your Vibrational Frequency
The rate of your vibrational frequency is easy to determine; all you have to do is ask yourself how you feel. The better you feel, the higher your frequency; the worse you feel, the lower your frequency. When the energy of your being is vibrating at a high frequency, you are drawing into your life more opportunities, situations, and relationships that will perpetuate this wonderful “high” feeling. When you are vibrating at a low frequency, you are attracting more opportunities, situations, and relationships that will perpetuate a “negative” feeling. Your feelings are the way your inner guidance system informs you of the rate of your vibration.
How Your Vibrational Frequency is Created
Your vibrational frequency is “set” by the dominant thoughts and beliefs you hold in your consciousness. With this knowledge, you‘ll soon become aware of the fact that when you hold positive thoughts in your mind, you feel great; and when you hold negative thoughts in your mind, you feel grouchy. It is possible to vibrate at a different frequency on different topics – for example you may be able to sustain healthy thoughts about relationships but harbor negative beliefs about money. Your overall frequency is an average of how you “vibrate” on all the various subjects of your life.
How to Change your Vibrational Frequency
Your vibrational frequency can easily be changed when you either alter your thought patterns or cease them altogether. Unfortunately we’ve all become accustomed to believing that our negative thoughts and feelings are the effect of a circumstance, when in reality they are the cause. In the midst of a negative situation, you must consciously choose to change your perception of the situation in order to change your thoughts and influence your point of attraction. Here are a few tools and techniques to help you do just that.
The first and most effective technique to raise your vibrational frequency is meditation. Meditation is the easiest way to boost your vibration because it requires you to cease all thought. When you cease thought, your vibration instantly jumps back up into positivity because that is the default of your being. Think of your true nature as a cork, whose natural tendency is to float upon the surface of water. You hold yourself underwater when you perpetuate negative thought patterns, but when you release the thoughts with meditation you “bob back up to the surface” of high frequency vibration.
The second way to raise your vibrational frequency is to realize your power as a creator, even if what you’ve created is a disaster. This is a tip I learned from Sonia Choquette in her book, “Your Heart’s Desire”. Sonia declares that “even a mess takes creativity to happen”. If you take a conscious look your current situation, you’ll also be able to pinpoint the thought pattern that created it. In discovering this link you will gain confidence as the wondrous and powerful creator that you are. When you realize that your thoughts got you into the situation, you will smile at the fact that your thoughts can also get you out of it.
There are always two sides to every coin, and a great way to see the flip side of any situation is to think of something you are grateful for because of it. Writing in a gratitude journal is a fantastic way to clear any negative feelings from your consciousness, especially before you fall asleep. Being thankful instantly raises your vibrational frequency because appreciation is one of the highest frequencies in the Universe. Have you ever thought about how wonderful it “feels” to be thanked? That feeling is a signal from your inner guidance system, indicating the increase in your vibrational frequency.
A final tip to raise your vibrational frequency is to simply laugh. It doesn’t matter whether what you think you’re laughing at is “good” or “bad”; for the next 30 days just decide to laugh at everything. You may have to force the laughter for the first 20 seconds or so but it won’t be long until you’re truly in stitches over that bankruptcy or divorce. If you can’t laugh, you’re taking yourself too seriously. In the grand scheme of things it won’t be long until this serious situation, your personality, and your body will have all dissolved into nothingness and only the laughter (emanating from your soul) will remain.
The only challenging part of altering your vibrational frequency is sustaining your new state long enough to see positive physical changes in your life situation. The time delay we experience serves us, as it gives us the opportunity to alter destructive thoughts before they manifest. However if your thoughts have already appeared as a negative condition in your experience, you must make a commitment to respond consciously instead of reacting automatically to the situation. This is the only way to create positive and lasting changes in your experience.
