“Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we learned here.”
– Marianne Williamson
Who doesn’t know that you love them? It’s a crucial question to ask. No one ever lies on their deathbed wishing they had loved less.
We often live with the assumption that our loved ones will be around forever, or that WE will be around forever. But the truth is that we never really know how long we have to tell the people around us that we deeply value their presence in our lives.
Our deep-seated fears are often the only thing keeping us from sharing our heart-felt feelings with the people we care about. We’re afraid of rejection, we’re afraid to be vulnerable, we’re afraid to love. But love is what it’s all about, and the truth is that ALL of the relationships, events, and situations in our lives exist to help us learn to love and express that love in a fearless way.
So who do you love? And more importantly, who needs to RECEIVE that love? Who doesn’t know that you love them?
Make a list of everyone you love – the family members, friends, spouses, lovers, or anyone else who evokes love in your heart. Then find a way to express your feelings with courage. Don’t be afraid to love.
The gift of your love will benefit you just as much as it those that receive it. Don’t wait another minute. Express your love today.
